Lark Lavender is grown in an historic walled garden in East Lothian, Scotland. New growth is powered by the sun, the rain, the earth, and some happy hard graft. No weird chemicals are used, in fact no chemicals are involved at all. But plenty of bees are!

I grow lavender because I like it, the bees like it, and it has the same brilliantly contradictory qualities as Pilates — being both relaxing and energising. It is, I find, the perfect compliment to a good Pilates session. I often have a lavender bag tucked inside my head cushion, and a lavender candle flickering away too. It helps me relax and focus. And after an hour or so of flowing Pilates practice, the sense of relaxation is even deeper.

With all this in mind, I have made a tiny range of simple, natural, luxurious things. It’s all hand-grown, hand-picked, hand-made by me in East Lothian and Dorset. You can find lavender, plus botanical illustrations and pressings, at larkbotanical.com.
